
Dr. Kopas grew up in Phoenix, where he spent most of his time as a competitive swimmer. He attended the University of Michigan for college and received his degree in Mechanical Engineering. After a brief stint in engineering, he returned to Arizona to attend medical school and graduated in 2002 from the University of Arizona, College of Medicine. Dr. Kopas completed his residency in Pediatrics and shortly thereafter opened Skyline Pediatrics in 2005. He is married to his wife and has five children. His greatest joys in life are Jesus, his family and spending time with friends.


Dr. Michelle Parkinson is a native Tucsonan who has been part of the Skyline Pediatrics team since 2020. After completing her undergraduate degree at Baylor University in 2008, Dr. Parkinson spent a year teaching English in France. Following her time abroad, she graduated from Ross University School of Medicine in 2014, where she grew in her enthusiasm for pediatrics. She then returned to her home and family in beautiful Tucson to complete her training at Banner/University of Arizona Pediatric Residency Program (2018).
Dr. Parkinson is passionate about children and feels it is a joy and privilege to help children and their families thrive. It is important to her that patients feel both comfortable and engaged in their personal wellness. She values evidence-based medicine and shared decision-making with families. She has a specific interest in supporting children and families involved in foster-care.
Dr. Parkinson’s amazing family (husband, son, and two goofy dogs) and faith bring her immense joy. In her free-time she tries to get outdoors as much as possible and loves to volunteer. She has done medical mission trips in Senegal, West Africa and Bolivia and hopes to do more. She also enjoys hiking, gardening, learning languages, and traveling.

Sami graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from New Mexico State University in 1999. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Tucson Medical Center until she graduated from the University of Arizona’s Family Nurse Practitioner Program and received her Master’s degree in 2005. She has worked for various out-patient clinics here in Tucson including several Family Practice offices and the Minute Clinic. She has been employed by Skyline Pediatrics since January of 2014.
Sami and her husband Jon have been married for 22 years. They have 3 children, 2 teenage boys and a preteen girl. They stay involved in their church and enjoy playing sports. Sami has helped coach many of her children’s sports teams. As a family they enjoy playing board games and going on hikes together.

Taylor is a Tucson native who attended University of Arizona and studied biochemistry. She then went on to get her masters and become a physician assistant through Northern Arizona University and graduated in 2020. Prior to PA school, Taylor worked at Skyline Pediatrics as a medical assistant and has always looked forward to returning as a provider and reconnecting with her old patients and little friends. In her free time, Taylor enjoys spending time with her family, being active outside in the Tucson sunshine and being an aunt.
